14-Year-Old Boy Kills a Man for $4; Are Rap Lyrics Encouraging Apathy in Young Black Men?

A 14-year-old boy from Dade City, Fla. is being charged with first degree murder. According to police reports, Harleme Larry walked up to 31-year-old Agustine Hernandez on Monday, brandished a .45 handgun and robbed him. Larry then shot and killed Hernandez after retrieving only $4.

These lyrics give a bleak outlet of the future and advocate the killing of other black men. –a.r.
