Fantasia Barrino: 5 Things Women Should Know Before Sleeping With Married Men

All I can say is “poor thing.” And, like most women who’ve been there and burned the T-shirt, I’m saying this about Fantasia Barrino, not because of the attempted suicide after she got caught in an affair with a married man, but because she seems to have been delusional about the potential impact.

I’m not angry with ‘Tasia. We all know she’s a misguided girl looking for love. When Mr. Antwaun Cook walked into that T-Mobile store, who knows what he said to her — or what she said to him. Either way, the person with more to lose in the situation, Cook, should’ve put the breaks on any possibility of a tango. That’s seldom how it goes.

Women need to be aware of the circumstances that come with an affair that will end with her being all alone. Take note. Pass it on. –grace octavia, www.graceoctavia.com

1. He’s Going to Paint Himself as a Victim – He’ll tell you all about his failing marriage and how sad he is that it isn’t working. Your nurturing side will kick in and he’ll end up in your bed.

2. He’s Going to Say You’re Better Than His Spouse – Stop listening to these men who say you’re more intelligent, sexy and nurturing than their dumb, ugly, cold wives, who abandoned their husbands to work endless hours. Then, why did he marry her? Maybe she’s working so hard because he’s out spending money on you!

3. She Will Confront You – When she does, be ready to hear the sad truth about yourself. You’ve played with her life, played with her children’s lives and by all counts, you’re a whore (right now). And she has every right to call you out.

4. He’s Not Leaving – He’s “thinking” of leaving and needs a new start. He never said when and with whom. There’s nothing special about you — or the woman before you. Men don’t leave comfortable situations and they hate major lifestyle changes. If he was really planning to leave, he would’ve done it already.

5. You’ll Get Over It – Someone should’ve been there to pry those pills out of Fantasia’s hands. Woman up! You slummed and now you need to move on! He went back to his wife and it’s time for you to get back to your life. You were too good to play second fiddle. Get your own man and never do that again.
