In most cases, stalkers are condemned by their victims and given restraining orders to ensure that they are unable to inflict physical or emotional harm. However, NFL player Chris Chambers decided to leave his wife for a woman who stalked him and his family.
According to reports, Chambers had an affair with Stacey Bernice Saunders and Saunders began to stalk Chambers and his family once their relationship ended.
Chambers filed a restraining order against Saunders and she was charged with 11 counts of stalking him and harassing his family with threatening phone calls.
In the police report, Chambers said that Saunders “launched an incessant attack verbally on me, and now my wife, her mother and sister.”
But on July 24, 2010, Chamber forgave Saunders for her indiscretions and married her in Las Vegas two days after he divorced his wife.
Apparently, Chambers was turned on by his stalker’s perseverance and willingness to go above and beyond to win his love.
Chambers currently plays wide receiver for the Kansas City Chiefs and Saunders will be arraigned on the stalking charges in January. –amir shaw
