Gilbert Arenas Fined For Faking an Injury
As if Gilbert Arenas needs to get into any more trouble it looks like he’s done it again. Before a game against Atlanta on Tuesday night, Washington Wizards NBA star Gilbert Arenas was complaining of some knee pain. However, according to Newsone.com Arenas was complaining about his knee so that rookie teammate Nick Young could get a chance to start. Sweet, yes, but Arenas was not following the rules causing him to receive a fine.
“I told [Young] I’d sacrifice playing tonight so he can get some time in because I know he’s kind of frustrated he’s not getting a chance to crack the [small forward] position, especially since we’re going three guards,” Arenas said Tuesday, smiling. “So I told him I’ll go and fake an injury or say something’s wrong with me so you can start.”
When asked how his knee is feeling, Arenas said, “I’m fine,” The Washington Post reported.
Erykah Badu Lashes Out About Today’s Music
Erykah Badu is not a stranger when it comes to expressing her feelings. Badu lashes out about today’s music complaining that there is way too much pop being played on the radio and not enough funk. Badu tweeted “How y’all gone stand by and let our music turn into pop techno cornball ass music, we don’t own our music no more. Come to think of it, did we ever own it? Where is the funk at?”
The funk songstress is even more upset at today’s hip-hop artist’s continuing to tweet “These rappers ought to be shame of they damn selves, I’m talkin bout the mc’ s rappin over this pop techno music … I believe in pimpin the system [but] got DAMN! not like this.”
Erykah Badu was of course expressing her feelings, but she also tweeted an inquiry to young people asking if they agreed with her statement. Do you agree? Do you think that music is not as authentic as it used to be?
