Waka Flocka Tells Audience Not to Be Rappers

In one of the oddest “pro black” moments in recent history, rapper Waka Flocka Flame offered a strategy to cure the ills of the black community. During a performance Oct. 18 at the Roxy in Los Angeles, Waka hushed the crowd, letting them know that he wasn’t on “no Martin Luther King sh—“ , or any “Malcom X sh—“, but there was something that he had to say.

Once the crowd quieted, Waka urged them not to follow in his footsteps when he said:

“I ain’t no Martin Luther King, or no Malcom X …but why go to school to be a f—ng rapper or a g——- ballplayer, or a sports player? N—-a, you can be an astronaut; n—-a, you can be a lawyer … you can be an engineer. You ain’t gotta be no rapper … like, real talk my n—-a. Get a long-term career man. Real s—.”

The fate of black America is brighter than ever now that Waka is on the scene. Check out the video below. djr
