Morehouse-Spelman Homecoming Presents 'Absolute Magnitude' Feat. Rick Ross, Travis Porter, Young Dro

Morehouse and Spelman hosted their annual homecoming concert, “Absolute Magnitude,” at Forbes Arena in Atlanta. Rick Ross headlined, sharing the stage with opening acts Travis Porter, Young Dro,Young LA, J Money, Young Dose, Rich Kids, and Fonzworth Bentley.

The atmosphere in the arena was electric, sans the performances of Young Dose and Fonzworth Bentley. Young “Dose Off” was booed off the stage during his fourth song after he nearly lulled the crowd into a deep sleep. Concertgoers started the traditional jingling of the keys, which at the AUC (Atlanta University Center) means, “Get off our stage!” Mr. Bentley didn’t fair any better. If it wasn’t for his Morehouse degree, he too would’ve been dishonored with key jingling.

Back to fashion, Fonz, your music career just may stall.

Outside of the snoozers, the concert lived up to the promotional hype. Rick Ross, Travis Porter, and Dro were at their usual best. Ross ended his performance with “Tears of Joy” after announcing to the crowd that he wanted to perform a song he normally does not do. The surly rapper even shed tears during the performance.  Go figure …

Forbes Arena was on full tilt, which is no surprise to anyone who has experienced an HBCU, and in this case, a Morehouse-Spelman Homecoming. Knowing how to party is a part of the curriculum. –ramone mack
