WTH?? Man Rapes Woman, Then Asks Her Out On a Date

In a sick and twisted case that you couldn’t possibly make up, a New York man reportedly raped a woman and then turned around and asked her out on a date later that day. When he actually showed up, police were there to arrest him.

Timothy West, 26, allegedly broke into his victim’s home and raped her twice at knifepoint while her mother and brother were asleep upstairs, the New York Daily News reported.

The victim, a 21-year-old waitress, told jurors in court that, after surviving that hellish nightmare, she gave West her telephone number in hopes that he would later try to contact her and she could have him arrested. And wouldn’t you know … West actually did just that.

According to the woman, it only took a few hours before West contacted her via text that read, “What up girl?”

The attacker then called her and had this eerie conversation that was played for the courtroom:

The victim asks, “You just broke into my house, yo. I’ve never seen you before …. You try to rob me, then you rape me. Why you did that to me?”

“I do apologize from the bottom of my heart,” he said.

He then asks: “You mad at me?… I can’t call you no more?”

“What made you want to come in and break into my house? Why out of all the houses, why my house?” the victim asked.

“It was just random,” he replied.

“Can I come see you?” he asked.

The woman agreed to meet the man at a predetermined location where she was waiting with the police who promptly arrested West. The defense counters that the sex was consensual, pointing out that the victim never screamed out to alert her family members. The defense failed to take into account that she may have been dissuaded from making any noise seeing how the knife was aimed at her throat.

The court case is ongoing, the Daily News stated. –terry shropshire
