Soul Train Awards 2010; 5 Unforgettable Moments

Top-notch R&B, soul, and hip-hop acts were on hand to celebrate the 2010 Soul Train Awards. Held on Wednesday, Nov. 10 at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center in Marietta, Ga., the show was hosted by Terrence Howard and Tarji P. Henson. Anita Baker Tribute – Anita Baker was honored by Soul Train as Tamia, Rachelle Ferrell, Kem, Lalah Hathaway, Chrisette Michele, El DeBarge, Faith Evans, Goapelle and Dionne Farris paid tribute by covering several of her songs.



Erykah Badu’s Visual Trip – Erykah Badu performed “Overlover” while laying on a virtual mat that projected colorful graphics on screen. Badu also performed her hit “Window Seat.”


R. Kelly’s Opening Act – R. Kelly proved that he still has an amazing vocal range as he performed several of his hits which included “Happy People,” “When a Woman’s Fed Up,” and “When a Woman Loves” – all to the backdrop of a retro variety show.



Cee Lo Green Channels Liberace – With an elegant set that was as elaborate as a Liberace concert, Cee-Lo Green performed his can’t-get-enough of hit, “Forget You.”


Wolf Blitzer Does the Dougie – CNN’s Wolf Blitzer made a surprise appearance and did the Dougie along with hip-hop legend Doug E. Fresh.
