Grammy Award-winning singer Chrisette Michele recently made a cameo appearance at Carol’s Daughter in Atlanta. She was signing autographed posters and promoting her upcoming CD, Let Freedom Reign. This marks the third release for the Def Jam artist who gained fans with hits like “If I Have My Way,” “Best of Me” and “Be OK.”
Chrisette was well received at the natural beauty, body and haircare boutique as an orderly crowd of hundreds of fans lined up for their chance to meet her. The R&B songstress gave away signature Chrisette Michele make-up bags to the first 50 fans that came out to show their support. Also, fans were offered a chance to win tickets to her New Year’s Eve Party, which will be held in Atlanta.
Acknowledging why she chose to be in Atlanta to celebrate the New Year, she said, “I receive so much love here in Atlanta.”
It’s seems natural to liken Chrisette’s business acumen to her friend Lisa Price, founder of Carol’s Daughter, who started the company in her kitchen. Price collaborated with Chrisette to make this event a success.
Chrisette continued, “I’m just so excited to be an example for my sisters. I am a black girl who is an entrepreneur, an actor, singer/songwriter, and an executive producer.”
Chrisette also took a little time to shop for herself.
“So far, I’m really feeling the Hair Milk,” she revealed. —tianna faulkner
