Imagine Jay-Z pushing the Eco Jet whip — which is capable of outrunning an airplane on the runway — that Jay Leno actually drove up in at the GM Advanced Design Center during the L.A. Auto Show. The Eco Or Mike Vick peeling back the pavement in a Cadillac ULC concept car.

What rappers, athletes and entertainers love about the Los Angeles Auto Show is that it’s not only an opportunity for the world’s greatest automakers to unveil what will soon hit the showroom floor; it also provides them and the public a glimpse of some of the spectacular new designs hatched from the minds of the world’s leading engineers and designers.

Some of these vehicles may or may not become viable road whips in the future; that’s why they are called concept cars. Still, it gives the likes of Cadillac, Chevrolet, Mercedes, BMW and Lexus the platform to wow the public with awe-inspiring designs and see what direction technology and imagination it taking future cars.

As the L.A. Auto Show opens to the public on Nov. 20, check out some of the mechanical marvels car aficionados will see. –terry shropshire
