Boxing champ Floyd Mayweather Jr. continues to make questionable decisions that keep him in trouble with the law.
On Nov. 15, Mayweather was given two parking citations by a security officer named Shayne Smith. Once Mayweather discovered the citations, he took one of the citations off of his vehicle and placed it on Smith’s patrol car.
Mayweather then approached Smith and began poking him in the face while telling the guard that he had no business touching his property. Police have found enough evidence to charge Mayweather with battery.
The assault occurred just one day after Mayweather was slapped with a restraining order banning him from having contact with his sons and ex-girlfriend. In September, Mayweather was involved in a domestic violence situation with his ex-girlfriend and could face up to 34 years in prison if convicted on all charges.
Mayweather, arguably the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world, could net $50 million in one night if he and Manny Pacquiao finally agree on terms to fight soon.
However, Mayweather’s legal woes could knock him out of the biggest payday in boxing history. –a.r.
