Moments after Michael Vick and the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Dallas Cowboys in Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas by a score of 30-27, Tashard Choice of the Cowboys made a beeline towards Vick.
But instead of shaking his hand and congratulating him on a well played game, like most players are accustomed to do, Choice pulled out a sharpie and asked Vick to sign one of his gloves.
The unusual signing was captured by NBC cameras as the players were walking to the locker rooms. Choice responded by telling reporters that the autograph was for his 2-year-old nephew.
“I have nothing but respect for him,” Choice said. “I admire somebody who can overcome circumstances and come back and prove people wrong.”
Choice eventually became a trending topic on Twitter Sunday night and Cowboys fans twitted their opinions.
Apoetstweets “Tashard “Bad” Choice… Smh what made him ask for an autograph like that?”
Jamrockbarry “Tashard Choice man you could’ve gotten Mike Vick’s autograph any day of the week I’m sure.. But right after a loss to The Eagles! Looks Bad!”
Although Choice will be the brunt of a few jokes, his gesture will likely become one of the most memorable moments in NFL history. –a.r.
