The holiday season is supposed to be a happy and festive time that focuses on family, however the actions of two Akron, Ohio, men have redefined this after police were called to a house on Wildwood Avenue when a family dispute erupted.

According to reports, brothers Thomas Morris, 41, and Tony Morris, 37, were visiting with their mother on Sunday, Dec.12 and a misunderstanding caused things to get out of hand. Thomas claims that his younger brother Tony threw a piece of chicken at him while he watched television. It was reported that Tony threw the chicken at his brother in a fit of anger because he believed his brother had taken a bite from the piece of chicken and put it back into the skillet. Thomas Morris informed authorities that he suggested going outside to handle their dispute like men, which prompted the younger Morris to pick up a crowbar and charge his brother.

While trying to escape his enraged brother by running out of the front door, Thomas slipped and fell onto the icy porch allowing his brother to catch and hit him several times in the head with the crowbar. Thomas suffered severe head injuries including a three inch laceration on his forehead. Tony left the scene threatening to return with a gun to shoot his brother. The 57-year-old mother of the two men called 911 and later admitted to authorities that she was the one who had actually taken the bite from the chicken. A warrant has been issued for Tony Morris including charges of felonious assault, domestic violence and menacing.
