At this very moment, citizens of the metro-Denver area are making plans for an upcoming burning ceremony featuring Carmelo Anthony’s No. 15 Nuggets jersey. OK, that may be a bit dramatic, but it certainly exemplifies a popular sentiment as the ‘Melo trade saga continues to drag on. It’s no secret that Carmelo no longer wanted to play in Denver, and when given an opportunity, the New York native makes it abundantly clear that he wants to return home.
“That’s like the ultimate dream at the end of the day,” Anthony said, when questioned about his desire to play for the Knicks. “Who wouldn’t want to go back home to play?”
That can’t sit well with Denver locals. But Anthony and his wife, former rolling out cover girl La La Vazquez, seem to be on a collision course with the Big Apple, which leads to the sports question of the day.
