Hollywood heartthrob Denzel Washington has a new DVD about to hit shelves on Tuesday, Feb. 15. The actor stars in the runaway-train thriller, Unstoppable. The movie title is quite fitting for the man who has proven himself to in fact be unstoppable. He’s the only African American actor on Hollywood’s A-list, having earned the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ highest honor, twice. He was the first black person to be given this title after Sidney Poitier became the first black man to win an Academy Award for Best Actor in 1963 for his role Lillies in the Field. A five-time nominee, Washington won Best Actor for Training Day (2001) and a Best Supporting Actor award for Glory (1989).
Washington is a big box-office draw. His movies average $47,159,626 and his lifetime gross total is $1,839,225,422.
