H & M Launches Conscious Fashion Collection for Spring 2011H&M is a mainstay for anyone who has an interest in fashion. For virtually any occasion shoppers of both genders are sure to find something in this trendy to make a fashion statement  from coats to accessories and pretty much everything in bewtween.

H&M established itself as a popular urban retailer for offering youthful and stylish clothing  at reasonable prices. This April will see a new addition to their collection to their brand names, dubbed the Conscious Collection. The line is for women, men and kids made from greener materials such as organic cotton and recycled polyester. The designers have been working diligently to create different shades of white which are reminiscent of spring. Tailored looks with romantic lace frills and draping will be must-haves for those long summer days.

The womenswear line is inspired by romance with blouses, tees, and tunics accessorized with Broderie Anglaise along with tiered dresses for days and Grecian gowns for night. You will also see cut-off shorts and flowey skirts.

For the men there is a preppier look, including white two button blazers, collarless shirts, printed tees and tanks.  And for the little ones there will be tiered dresses, feminine tops, skirts for girls and t-shirts and jeans for boys.

“It’s not just about organic cotton any more, the possibilities for creating a complete fashion statement with eco smarter materials are huge now. By designing recurring Conscious Collections we have the opportunity to show in a variety of ways what’s possible using more sustainable fabrics,” says Ann-Sofie Johansson, H&M Head of design. “Shades of white are the season’s biggest fashion trend and it feels right for this collection. White creates a romantic feeling with lace and Broderie Anglaise, but is also the basic colour in a sporty, relaxed style and in a preppy, tailored look for men.” The collection will be on sale starting April 14, with  prices range from $12.99 to $34.99.
