Last night at the 2011 Grammy awards, stars like Rihanna, Lady GaGa and Monica showed up and showed out in some stunning, revealing and down right bizarre clothing choices on the red carpet. RO sifted through the myriad of red carpet ensembles and compiled a list of the best and worst dressed celebs of the night. Feast your eyes on this. –nicholas robinson
Best Dressed
Rihanna – Always pushing the sexual envelope, Rihanna adeptly straddled the line between sensual and raunchy with this revealing Jean Paul Gaultier haute couture gown.
Ciara – Showing off her modelesque frame, Ciara killed in this cut-out Emilio Pucci gown.
Jennifer Hudson – The singer continues to show off her amazing makeover in this flowing, navy blue Versace dress.
Monica – The veteran singer showed that simple glamour can do the trick with this structured, floor-length gown
Janelle Monae – Showing off her signature, gender-blending flare, Janelle works the red carpet in this elegant, sequined tuxedo jacket, satin slacks and platform pumps.
Mya – Mya returned to the spotlight of the red carpet and proved that she’s still got whip appeal in this ethereal, strapless gown.
Worst Dressed
Nicki Minaj – While we usually praise the raptress for her over-the-top looks, this leopard-print, Givenchy outfit with blonde Bride of Frankenstein wig is just too much of an eyesore.
India Arie – We get that India is a new-age, hippie, earth mother, but even Captain Planet and The Planeteer’s Gaia had a prettier dress than this.
Lenny Kravitz – While we appreciate the sexy aging rocker’s penchant for showing skin, this leather and fur ensemble just looks sloppy and careless.
Diddy – To our surprise, Diddy, who usually kills on the red carpet, disappointed with this pedestrian ensemble. Instead of his usual refined glamour, Diddy just channels ’80s airport baggage handler.
