While filming the new season of Donald Trump’s “Celebrity Apprentice,” supermodel Niki Taylor said that “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star NeNe Leakes initially frightened her.
“She came on a little bit strong,” said Taylor, while in town at the Atlanta Expo Center representing the Reader’s Digest “We Hear You America” campaign.
Maybe Taylor had good reason to feel intimidated. From earlier reports we already know that the opinionated Leakes is set to bump heads and possibly fists with fellow “Celebrity Apprentice” co-star Star Jones. However, with time Taylor admits that she got to see a softer side to Leakes.
“There’s a very sweet side to NeNe,” she said. “She works hard. She brings it.”
And Leakes has a lot of personality to bring, so much so that Taylor encouraged her to try her hand at a new TV venture.
“I told her she needs her own show,” Taylor said.
A career change may not be that far off for Leakes, who spent the summer working as a celebrity interviewer with the NBC affiliate in Atlanta, WXIA 11Alive News.
Leakes recently announced that she’s not interested in returning for a fourth season of the “RHOA” and is interested in moving to Los Angeles, hinting that she may be ready to branch off from Bravo and re-brand herself as a solo star.
