Just following her second anniversary with Ardyss International Jane Bronner — yes, as in Bronner Brothers — shared personal perspectives with rolling out regarding her experience as an entrepreneur and it’s profound impact on her lifestyle and the bottom line. The savvy and successful businesswoman hinted that while she is often approached and asked to lend her support to any one of the over 300 vendors that participate bi-annually in the Bronner Brothers Hairshow, she was compelled to sign on with Ardyss International of Body Magic fame because of it’s corporate philosophy and it’s committment to the African American community. Bronner explains that Ardyss International is simply a value added proposition.
“I love the philosophy of Ardyss International. They are spiritually based, they want to help with the environment, they want to help African Americans and minorities gain financial stability and they want you to be a product of the product. This was a product I believed in. I believed in this product because as my late father-in-law always said “beauty is a depression proof industry. And while beauty is a depression proof industry wellness is a trillion dollar industry,” she says referring to Ardyss International’s healthy living nutrional products as well as the figure flattering undergarments. “Ardyss International’s philosophy lines up with the Bronner Brothers philosophy which is God first, family second, business third, work hard, be honest and keep good company.”
After joining Ardyss International Bronner convinced her seven siblings to come on board and has established another branch in the beauty industry as well as a very lucrative income stream.
“It’s a two step program” adds Bronner’s sister Germaine Simmons of Louisiana. “We have the nutritional side and the garment, which, are both geared to fitness. The supplements help you reduce and the garment reshapes you. We measure your butt, your thorax, your waist and your hips and that determines what garment we’ll actually put you in. … But the best part of all of this is that I am calling my own shots and it’s going well.”
Simmons says the cost of Body magic prices range from $160 for the full garments, $90 for just the corsette and $62 for panty reshapers. Body reshaping garments are also available for men.
“I saw this as a way to introduce wellness into the beauty business that we are already a part of,” says Bronner. “It’s also a way for stylist and barbers to bring additional income and revenue into their places of business.” she concludes enthusiastically. –roz edward
