Long considered eye pollution by millions of Americans, sagging pants will now be treated like any other form of pollution in the state of Florida. It is now against the law.
A new bill passed by the state’s House of Representatives makes it a crime for anyone in grades K-20 to wear their pants below the waist. That means the law will come at you even if you are in college.
Despite a mini uproar from NAACP chapters, lawmakers claim this measure will bring a little class back to society.
“This pro-family, pro-education, pro-jobs bill provides each school district … adopt a student dress code of conduct, a policy that explains to each student their responsibility,” said Rep. Hazelle Rogers, who also introduced the measure. “This would make for a better school district and more productive students.”
