Recently, my family and I vacationed in Orlando, Florida. We stayed at a beautiful five-star hotel called, Orlando World Center Marriott. I was a bit nervous when I called to make reservations since it was spring break, but they graciously accommodated us.
When we pulled up to the hotel it was like looking at paradise. The first thing we noticed was the very large Hawk’s Landing Golf Course. Golfers were out on the greens and the landscaping was beautiful.
We stepped inside the lobby and it was gigantic! Guests were checking in and out and my kids said, “Wow mom this is very nice!” It was impressive, with glass elevators and lots of artifacts on the main level. We checked in with no problem and headed up to our room.
We took the stunning glass elevators to the 16th floor, and down the hall to our room. Even the hallways were chic, with soft muted colors and eye-appealing decor. When we opened the door the room was bright and inviting. We had granite counter tops in the bath area, with a huge mirror and a double sink. We also had double beds that were extremely comfortable. The room also came equipped with a mini-bar and small refrigerator.
As we moved further into the room, we heard a water fall. Just over the balcony was a view of the Pavillion Pool Complex which features a 106 ft. waterslide, 6 whirlpools (one indoors), kiddie pools and a sandy play area. The Orlando World Center Marriott also has a spa pool as well. My kids couldn’t wait to go swimming.
We hurried into our swim suits and headed down to the pool area. My husband and I relaxed poolside, while the kids splish-splashed in the heated pool. That day it was around 75 degrees, but the kids didn’t mind. Later we had lunch at the hotel’s Solaris restaurant where we had our choice of ordering from the menu or having the buffet. Everything was very fresh and we loved our meals. There was a large variety to choose from, and the chef to made pancakes and omelettes to order from the grill. The hotel also has a full list of other dining options and room service.
When we headed back up to our room we had a cheese and fruit tray and a bottle of wine with glasses waiting. It was a great added touch (or as they say in New Orleans, lagniappe) from the hotel to welcome us. Our stay lasted three days and we had an absolute blast. The Orlando World Center Marriott has over 350,ooo sq. ft and it has so much to offer. Dining, shopping, pools, nightlife, full service boutique spa, fitness center and more! If you are ever in Orlando and looking for a great place to stay with lots of amenities, you must check out the Orlando World Center Marriott. We had a wonderful time.
