Shoenistas will love this story. Yes, we women will spend our last few pennies on a pair of rocking shoes, despite the rent or mortgage being due. This spring brings so many styles, shapes and colors that this story was too good to pass by. The shoe trends this spring and summer are amazing and I wanted to share with you what’s hot and what you should be wearing on those pretty little feet of yours.
Pumps and Stilettos: Even though doctors have warned us of the dangers of wearing these type of heels, we women do it anyway. We will break a toe to look stylish and trendy wearing shoes that are uncomfortable but cute. Let’s say Christian Louboutin, who is legendary for making a pretty, but not so comfy shoe.
Flats: Now these are my cup of tea! Add some sparkle or rhinestones and I can prance around in these shoes all day. Most guys don’t find them flattering and some women find them unsexy but after a hard day at work or standing on your feet all day, flats are a must-have. There are many designer collections that have glamorous styles and they are great with sundresses or paired with jeans.
Printed Shoes: If you want a lively pair of shoes, try a printed pair. They can complement any plain outfit with a splash of color. They come in geometric patterns, florals and animal prints. I was at Aldo’s the other day and they have some awesome styles to choose from.
Gladiator and Strappy Sandals: These shoes were out last year and are still trendy. They come in wedge, heels or flats. Every women’s store I went in from Forever 21 to Bakers had this style of shoe.
Platform Wedges: If you have great balance, try the platform wedge. These are definitely a hot trend now. For everyday wear to a great event or night on the town, these shoes would be great. I love to wear long dresses with a great wedge to add height.
Platform Heels: This is a new terminology for flats that are elevated on a high platform heel, and secured with an ankle strap. According to fashion magazines, this is the go-to shoe for spring and summer.
