Kimora Lee Simmons Helps Bounty Make a Clean Difference in Metro Atlanta

Every year in August, around the demanding back-to-school season, students are expected to bring in prerequisite materials from their back to school list to facilitate teacher activities and projects. As parents recall school days of their own, they know the importance of not only an informed classroom, but a clean one. As a spokeswoman for the Bounty Make a Clean Difference campaign, Kimora Lee Simmons, a parent herself, echoed a similar sentiment:”I know first hand how important a clean- environment is to foster hands-on learning.” She corroborated how Bounty is essential to the structure of the classroom and conversely, how it is conducive to a student’s success. According to a survey conducted by Wakefield Research, Inc., Bounty discovered that 94% of the 1,000 U.S. Teachers (surveyed), believed that children learn better in clean classrooms ; 42% of those same busy teachers added cleaning to their list of daily duties. This survey additionally maintained that over half of the surveyed teachers avoided certain in-class projects or activities to avoid the dreadful clean-up afterwards. This provided the basis for Procter & Gamble’s Bounty “ We Love Our School” Week,  which passed months ago on Valentine’s Day.  “As an organization dedicated to supporting PTO’s and PTA’s nationwide, we see everyday the many still-unmet needs in our schools and are thrilled to partner with strong brands like Bounty to encourage action in local communities,” said Tim Sullivan, Founder & President, PTO Today. This program will benefit 400,000 students in 1,000 schools across the country, including four local Atlanta schools such as: King Middle School, Legacy Christian Academy, Adamsville Elementary, and Parklane Elementary. Each of the “ We Love Our School” Week’s participating schools will receive a Bounty Clean Kit with enough Bounty and Mr. Clean product(s) to clean all of their classrooms, along with a cleaning checklist.  To learn more about this program and how to get your school more involved, visit the  Bounty Facebook page  www.Facebook.com/Bounty and click on the “ We Love our School” tab; schools making the pledge will automatically be entered in the “We Love Our School” sweepstakes for a chance to win a celebrity-designed $50,000 school makeover.-amal yamusah and ashley jackson
