Last week my son and I went on our monthly date night and this time we popped into a new place called, Genghis Grill which is located at Mall of Georgia. I try to show my son how to treat a lady, so we hang out and try new places to eat and we both agreed on this new restaurant that we had been eyeing for awhile now. Genghis Grill opened a few months ago after NY Pizza closed earlier this year.
We walked in and liked the atmosphere, and then we heard a bong. When your food is ready, they hit the bong to let you know. My son loved it; I was startled.
In the rear of the restaurant you load up red bowls with protein (the meat of your choice), seasonings, veggies and sauces. First, load up your bowl with protein items that include chicken, ham, steak, pork, shrimp and more. Next, add seasonings. They offer cajun, cayenne, red pepper, ginger and so on. Then, choose your veggies, which range from corn, bamboo shoots, bok choy, cabbage and more. They tell you to really load up on your vegetables because they shrink once they’re cooked. Last, add a starch, from noodles to different types of rice, tortillas or pasta.
While waiting for your food you can watch a huge flat screen TV’s or order a drink from the bar area. They have huge cooking sticks and you can watch them prepare your meal on the gigantic round grill. They also have desserts! Genghis Grill offers traditional recipes or signature ones or you can create your own. After a few minutes our order was ready and the waitresses brought over our food. We absolutely loved it and we will definitely return because my son found it very tasty and so did I!
