Anyway, the singer will always be a “Grammy Award winner,” but according to the Wall Street Journal, The National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences Inc. recently filed a concerned response to the deal Braxton struck to ensure she gets to keep certain prized possessions such as her Grammy’s as well as her Tiffany jewelry and her 1995 Porsche 911. The organization that is responsible for handing out Grammy awards to musicians decided to speak up in Toni Braxton’s bankruptcy case out of concern that the R&B and pop singer’s six awards could one day be sold. Yes, she may have to bid farewell to all six of her Grammy’s, but truth be told, Ms. Braxton still owes money. In other words if she doesn’t pay up $125,000 to her creditors, her precious Grammy’s and everything else covered by her agreement are as good as gone. Sayonara!
I guess it’s safe to say that you know you got a problem when even the Grammy people come to your rescue…“out of concern.” Mhmm. So will our girl Toni ever get it together or is she in that financial hole too deep? What are your thoughts?
