Kelly Rowland is making headlines again, and we aren’t surprised. This time she’s in the news for being the fresh face of Diddy’s newest perfume called Empress. The fragrance is the feminine counterpart to his men’s “I Am King” fragrance for men. Empress is Diddy’s second women’s fragrance to date.
“Yeah, I’m the new ambassador for Empress. I just love what Empress represents,” says Rowland. “It’s [for] women that are beautiful and powerful in their own right.”
Containing notes of mandarin imperial, vanilla, passion flower and peony, Empress was created for a woman that exudes class and confidence. According to a Sean John press release the fragrance is designed for the woman who is, “a force of nature, powerful, enchanting and uniquely feminine. Her presence captivates and her words inspire, compelling those around her to her cause. Men long to be by her side, women want to know her secrets.”
With Rowland’s current hits and uber sex appeal, we are sure she can handle being the royal representative for Empress. The fragrance will be available in Macy’s stores this month and will retail at $50 to $74. –mckenzie harris
