Doug Evans, former creative director and head designer of multi-platinum rapper Young Jeezy’s Rocawear/8732 clothing line, is reportedly close to inking a multimillion dollar deal to produce a new fashion line. The company has not yet been disclosed.
Evans, also an 18-year Sr. advertising executive, had previously retired from fashion design, but has made an about-face and will once again let his creative juices flow for the new venture. Details of the deal have been kept quiet, but sources say the company’s executives have always been impressed with his ability to create things that people want.
“He thinks so differently than the rest of the world…and has a unique vision,” said a key figure close to the negotiations.
The name of the fashion line also has not yet been released, but it’s scheduled to hit retailers in spring 2012.
