Sarah Palin Will Not Run for President; Did the Glen Rice Sex Scandal End Her Political Chances?

Sarah Palin’s rise to political stardom occurred nearly four years ago after the bewildered John McCain chose her as his running mate during his attempt to be elected president. Although it didn’t take long for Palin to expose herself as a brainless beauty, she garnered support from staunch Republicans and some Tea Party members who wanted to see her elected president.

Fortunately, Palin will have no chance  of entering the Oval Office in 2012. Palin stunned many of her supporters by deciding not to run for president.

In a statement, Palin said, “My decision is based upon a review of what common sense Conservatives and Independents have accomplished, especially over the last year. I believe that at this time I can be more effective in a decisive role to help elect other true public servants to office, from the nation’s governors to Congressional seats and the Presidency.”

Palin never proved that she had the credentials to run a nation, but she did have a knack for making news headlines for all the wrong reasons.

In September, author Joe McGinniss claimed that Palin had a one night stand with former NBA player Glen Rice. He also suggested that she had a fetish for black men, she used cocaine, and her racist husband, Todd Palin, once beat up a black teen for no reason.

Instead of packing a powerful political punch, Palin became a punchline.

Fox News CEO Roger Alias recently revealed that Palin was hired at Fox News only because “she was hot and got good ratings.”

Palin will likely continue to milk her celebrity status by participating in speaking engagements and serving as a right-wing  commentator, but she will never establish a legitimate career in politics. –amir shaw
