Common brings more attention to the release of his new album The Dreamer/The Believer by confirming that his song “Sweet” was aimed at Drake. While promoting his new album, Common revealed to reporters that if Drake was offended by “Sweet” then he should take it as a diss.
In the song, Common says, “Singing all around me man, la la la. You ain’t Frank Sinatra Uh, lil b—-.”
At a show in Las Vegas over the weekend, Drake responded by saying “I might sing, but I’m no b––-. If [Common] got something to say, say it to my face.”
Drake has taken a lot of flack for being overly sensitive on his latest album, Take Care.
However, Common’s diss of Drake could be fueled by their mutual interest in Serena Williams. Common dated Williams for nearly two years before they broke up in 2010. Drake has been photographed with Williams lately and some have suggested that the two are dating.
