Movie Review: 'Joyful Noise'

Director:Todd Graff

Stars: Queen Latifah, Dolly Parton, Keke Palmer and Jeremy Jordan

Studio: Warner Bros. Pictures

Joyful Noise is the story of a small-town choir in Pacashau, Ga., out to win a national competition despite overwhelming odds. Residents are counting on the Divinity Church Choir to lift their spirits by winning the Joyful Noise competition. The faith and determination of the choir’s leaders, Vi Rose Hill (Queen Latifah) and G.G. Sparrow (Dolly Parton) coupled with the young talent who give their all to win the competition, makes for an uplifting story of grace and presence in the face of adversity.

Joyful Noise  is a feel-good movie that gives people the strength to move forward even when they want to give up hope. Cameos by Kirk Franklin and Karen Peck will surely make you want to check out this movie.
