Shy Shy Wear's Signature Camisoles and Shoe Parties Hit Atlanta's Fashion SceneNew York isn’t the only place you ll find burgeoning fashion designers. Atlanta has its own Rolodex of rising stars. Meet Lateefah Smith. She’s an entrepreneur who firmly believes no woman should ever have anxieties about her personal style. That belief spurred her to launch Shy Shy Wear, an apparel line that specializes in signature camisoles for the everyday woman.

“Shy Shy Wear was created because no woman should ever be shy about wearing what she likes. No matter her shape, size, color or age, I want her to be able to make an expression. Shy Shy Wear was created for women to express their femininity, beauty and sexiness,” offers Smith.

Shy Shy Wear is “in the business of providing high quality, stylish and price-friendly apparel for consumers. All of which is reflected by the designer’s creativity and pride” in her designs. “My average customer ranges from age 13 to 35 and the average price is $25,” shares the young mom. Smith is savvy and believes in supporting local businesses. “All of my products are sourced right here in the U.S.A.”

In addition to her line of camisoles, Smith has stepped into a new fashion lane, literally. She s hosting shoe parties. “Shy Shy Wear s fashion heel parties for ladies is a social event where we invite women to a special venue, and they re able to find great shoes and have a good time. It s just another way for me to convey Shy Shy Wear s motto: Never be shy in what you wear. Fashion is personal expression; everyone can be in fashion,” says Smith.

Shy Shy Wear will join Female Success Factor this Saturday, March 24, 2012, at the Atlanta History Center from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. On Sunday, March 25, 2012, Shy Shy Wear Presents Heels and Chocolate, a shoe party for women with discriminating taste.
