5 Exercises to Strengthen and Tone Your Body

Deadlifts

Deadlifts should be done on the days that you work your back. This is an excellent movement for overall strength and building muscle in the mid to lower portion of your back. Because of the deadlifting is a compound movement, it would be best to perform this exercise toward the end of your workout after you’ve gotten that initial pump. Be sure to use your legs to propel yourself upward to reduce the strain on your lower back. Using a narrow stance, with your arms outside of your knees will put more of the focus on your mid-back.


Ladies: doing this exercise will sculpt your back and legs. Summer is near, and backless shirts are making a comeback.

Fellas: after making sure your form is correct, go heavy. Deadlifts will give you that thick, solid back that women can’t resist.
