Pull-ups are one of the best exercises you can do for upper body strength. Yes, they can be difficult, but with a little persistence you’ll be a lean, mean pull-up machine.


Ladies: there’s nothing sexier than a women who can lift her own bodyweight.. if not sexy pull-ups are definitely functional. Pull-ups do a great job of toning and building the muscles of the upper back and rear part of the shoulders (without the bulk). Just think of how great you’ll look in that evening gown!

Fellas: pull-ups are the ultimate test of strength. The pull-up is the best way to work the biggest muscle group in your upper body, your latissimus dorsi (your back). If you’re not improving, they’re not growing. You might start with 1 but by the end of a year you should be at 5-6 pull-ups with perfect form.
