Military Press
The military press is a tremendous shoulder workout. When doing this exercise, grab the bar with a neutral grip keeping your forearms perpendicular with the bar. Press the bar toward the ceiling until your arms are almost straight. Lower the bar back to starting position and repeat.
Ladies: military press tones your upper body and also hits your biceps and triceps. Using dumbbells allows for more freedom of movement and might be a better option for some of you. Once you’ve mastered this movement turn your torso as you push the weights overhead to engage your core more.
Fellas: this exercise is good for getting that wide and thick look up top. Stick figures aren’t cool anymore.
