5 Exercises to Strengthen and Tone Your Body

Bench Press

Majority of men already do this exercise, women however can also benefit from benching. This exercise, in most cases, is the bread and butter to building your chest. However, most people perform this movement with very poor form. I see one of three things happen: squirming on the bench, lifting their butts off of the bench, or dropping the weight on their chest. Not good.


Let the weight down to your chest, gently touching your chest with the bar, push up and very slightly towards your head. The weight should end up over your chin or mouth. Flex your pectoral muscle and repeat.

Ladies: bench pressing will not turn your A cups into double-Ds. However, with a little dedication, you’ll be able to lift and sculpt your cleavage.


Fellas: bench pressing is not a competition to see who can lift the most. More times than not the dude pushing three plates has horrible form and if corrected wouldn’t be able to do two plates. Focus on form and stay within a 6-8 rep max and you’ll notice some substantial gains.
