Rhonda Hight, owner of Let’s Talk, LLC and Elgintine Dudley, founder and CEO of Heart 2 Heart Kids Foundation, co-hosted an after-work mixer and networking event at the Commerce Club. The Heart 2 Heart Kids Foundation was the evening’s beneficiary. “The foundation adopts elementary schools [annually] and we provide schools supplies, support the Empty Stocking Fund, 5th grade graduation, Graduation Day and many special projects. It’s near and dear to my heart and that’s why I started this foundation a couple of years ago,” offers Dudley.
Indigo Johnson, professional coach and owner of Careers in Transition, presented a matching gift challenge to encourage financial support of the foundation while guests imbibed on cocktails and light fare.
On Saturday, April 28, Heart 2 Heart will host its 2nd Annual Western Roundup at the Renaissance Concourse Hotel. The evening’s guest speaker will be Xernona Clayton, executive director of the Trumpet Awards Foundation, and Rhodell Lewis, on-air personality WYZE Radio/1480 AM will emcee. –yvette caslin
