Tornados in Dallas-Forth Worth Toss Tractor-Trailers Hundreds of Feet in Air (Video)

A dozen tornadoes tore a wide swath of destruction through the Dallas-Forth Worth area, picking up tractor-trailers and trailer parks and tossing them hundreds of feet in the air like loose hotdog wrappers on Tuesday, April 3. Despite the frightening number of twisters that came in with a powerful storm, there are no reported fatalities.

Meteorologists and storm watchers credit the fact that the storm hit during the day with saving lives. Citizens were able to hear and heed the tornado warnings and found sufficient cover. Many more deaths take place when tornadoes come in the middle of the night while people are sleeping. Dallas mayor called the absence of deaths “a miracle,” and added that “we dodged a bullet.”

Below is a video of the awesome power of a tornado.
