Tupac's Mother 'Thrilled' by His Holographic Performance

The mother of the late Tupac Shakur is speaking out about a hologram of her son performing on Sunday, April 15, at the Coachella music festival.

As previously reported, Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre were joined onstage by a hologram of Tupac that rapped and spoke directly to concertgoers, “What the f— is up Coachella?!” the hologram said.

Since then, TMZ reached out to Tupac’s mother, Afeni Shakur , who told the gossip site that she was absolutely thrilled by his image.

While Ms. Shakur did not attend the performance, she told TMZ that she watched it online and previously gave Dr. Dre her blessing to incorporate Pac onstage. She also added that Dre donated money to her Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation as a thank-you.

The lifelike image of the rapper reportedly cost Dre between $100,000 to more than $400,000, according to its creators at AV Concepts.

A holographic image of Nate Dogg was also supposed to be used but was later changed to a simple video tribute.
