Your public speaking skills leave a lot to be desired. Either you are not the most eloquent person in the prospective hiring pool or you litter your sentences with too much slang. Worse, in an effort to sound intelligent, you insert five-dollar words incorrectly that have no business being released into the atmosphere. Do yourself a favor: Practice the conversation with an objective friend until your speech is flawless. Internalize, don’t memorize, your speaking points.
