Wilson Passes Away 

A famed actress and comedian known for her roles on “Moesha” and “The Parkers” has died after succumbing to cancer. Friends and family of Yvette Wilson have confirmed that she passed away June 14 from complications with cervical cancer. News of her passing was broken via Twitter through her co-star, Shar Jackson, who wrote to her followers, “F— cancer! Oh god….. My heart is soooo unbelievably broken.” She later added, “I wanna thank all my tweeties for their prayers but god has chosen to take my sister Yvette home.”

Wilson first made headlines this year when a popular gossip blog posted a story alleging that she had a terminal illness and kidney disease. The report, which turned out to be valid, urged fans to donate to a fund set up to cover her impending medical bills. That fund raised nearly $14,000 for the actress before her untimely passing.
