We always think that it cannot happen to us. That has to be the mentality of sexually active African Americans, because there is no other remotely possible explanation as to why the black communities’ HIV/AIDS rates in the U.S. rival that of Sub-Saharan African nations.
The following celebrities thought it couldn’t happen to them either. But in light of National HIV Testing Day, rolling out has compiled a short list of black celebrities who succumbed to AIDS, cut down by an indiscriminate monster in the prime of their lives.
