Women overwhelming had partners who matched their father, so says a University of St. Andrews study of 400 women in relationships who were reared by both parents. Sounds familiar, eh? The University of Pecs in Hungary (in Eastern Europe), says it’s more “subtle” features such as the shape of the face. The same holds true for males and their mothers. Something about the physical attributes of the opposite-gender parent that is tattooed into our subconscious permanently. This may help understand why many women prefer older men who, in some cases, have hair and eye color, along with facial structures that are similar to their fathers.
