A study from the University of Aberdeen in Scotland might explain why ladies like Blair Underwood and other males with soft facial features. Researchers showed female subjects two photos of the same man, with subtle differences. One would have a narrower jaw and rounder eyes, traditionally more feminine features, while the other would be all man. The study concluded irrefutably that ladies prefer more ladylike-looking dudes.


All’s not lost, particularly if you live in Second- and Third-world countries. In countries with poorer overall health, women prefer more masculine men, while in places with stronger health indicators, women favor girly men. Researchers believe women in poorer countries see a manly man as a better reproductive mate and survival partner and protector. But here in the first world, where such things are not nearly as dire, the opposite is true
