It’s hard to believe it’s only been a year since badass babe Azealia Banks made us take notice with her viral single “212.” Though the Harlem rapper may look like jail bait, don’t let her innocent eyes and school girl smile fool you. She can hold her own on the mic.
Thanks to M.A.C., those lips will be used for more than spitting churlish-but-catchy lyrics. Starting Sept. 5, Banks’ plum lipstick – Yung Rapunxel – will be online for $15 at maccosmetics.com. During Fashion’s Night Out on Sept. 6, Banks will perform at M.A.C.’s SoHo boutique to launch the limited-edition lipstick which will be available until Sept. 20. You catch an encore performance on M.A.C.’s Facebook page on Sept. 7 at 1 p.m. ET.
Check out which celebrities and socialites are also making appearances throughout New York City on Fashion’s Night Out, the single largest shopping event of the year. –yvette caslin
