These men would most certainly not be called video vixens under any circumstances, but they nevertheless attained or extended their fame via their appearances in a set of memorable videos.
Wesley Snipes:
Snipes’ meteoric career ascent and devastating descent is well chronicled. He starred in several B-level movies before he landed the role as Michael Jackson’s friend-turned-foe in the Martin Scorcese-directed video short “Bad,” which caught the attention of director Spike Lee and other filmmakers. And it was on and popping from there. Snipes quickly became an urban cult hero with his portrayal of a ruthless drug lord in Mario Van Peebles New Jack City, to go along with many other comedies, dramas and thrillers. His greatest commercial success was realized with the Blade franchise. Most of his movies in the new millennium have been of the straight-to-DVD variety, which proceeded his conviction for failure to file tax returns with the IRS.
