It seems the whole world has been talking about Chris Brown and Rihanna’s reconciliation ever since Brown dumped Karrueche Tran for Rihanna and released a candid video about his love for both of them. Though, everyone has their opinion on the matter, few have been more popular than that of Oprah Winfrey, who recently weighed in on the reconciliation.
During an interview with “Extra,” a seemingly unknowing Winfrey was sidelined with a question about Brown and Rihanna’s reunion.
“Are they back together?” Oprah asked. “I don’t know if that’s true, and no, I’m not surprised.”
“You know what I loved about that interview is that she came with a big, wide open heart,” said Winfey, referencing her revealing “Oprah’s Next Chapter” interview with Rihanna. “She was in the space of forgiveness. And, that she learned a lesson that she was repeating with Chris Brown exactly what she needed to learn from her father.”
Though many would assume that Winfrey would frown upon the very public reunion, the queen of advice instead showed complete acceptance of their rumored decision to work on their relationship.
“I think that if she is prepared to deal with that and is prepared to help him help himself, then so be it,” she said. “I have no judgment about it. That’s why I can sit there and have such a great time with her, because I do all my interviews with no judgment whatsoever. If that’s how you choose to lead your life, that’s really OK.”
And, speaking of Rihanna’s father, Ronald Fenty, he hasn’t been at all shy about his feelings over his daughter’s relationship with Brown. Check out what he told In Touch about Rihanna and Brown’s reconciliation as well as some other reactions to the story after the cut. – nicholas robinson
