Zoe Saldana, Nina Simone and the worst casting choices for biographies and remakes

Terrence Howard: The “Jacksons: An American Dream” is one of the most superbly cast films or TV shows in modern filmmaking. Everyone from Angela Bassett as Katherine Jackson, Lawrence Hilton Jacobs as heavy-handed Joe, Vanessa Williams as Suzanne DePasse and Billy Dee Williams as Motown founder Berry Gordy gave flawless and believable performances. But the light-skinned, hazel-eyed Howard as brown-skinned Randy Jackson? It temporarily shook me out of belief that I was watching a real family and made it look like a TV show.
