Trey Songz's 'Texas Chainsaw 3D' tops 'Django' at the box office

Trey Songz and the Texas Chainsaw 3D franchise pulled off a surprising upset at the box office. In the first week of its release, Texas Chainsaw 3D earned $23 million across the nation. The earnings were better than blockbuster hits Django Unchained, The Hobbit and Les Miserables.

Trey Songz, starring in his first film, played a major part in attracting a large number of female viewers to the film.
