In 2007 Nick Cannon proposed to model Selita Ebanks with a stunning engagement ring in the middle of Times Square. Unfortunately the couple split just months later for unknown reasons.
Fast forward to 2008 however and a ring that looked strikingly similar to the one donned by Selita was seen on Mariah Carey’s ring finger compliments of Cannon. Websites went into overdrive reporting that the former “Wild N’ Out” host had re-gifted the sparkler to Carey with a source close to Ebanks confirming that the rings were identical. The move was dubbed “tacky.”
