One of the worst and highest profile teachers cheating scandals has rocked the city of Atlanta, the state of Georgia and is a national embarrassment for one of the lowest performing states in the country.
Some 35 teachers, who have been indicted by a federal grand jury for allegedly changing student test scores and improperly influencing witnesses, have been indicted and many of them journeyed down to the Fulton County Jail in downtown Atlanta to be jailed and, for some, to post bail, which is in excess of $1 million for the majority of the teachers.
